The 8th Grade Očéti Šakówiŋ Owáuŋspe class went on a field trip to Augustana last week. They had a chance to see the campus and learn about some of the programs the school offers!

April 2, 2025 was National Paraprofessional Appreciation Day! We appreciate the contributions of our amazing Educational Assistants and SPED Support Staff. Their hard work and dedication are vital to the success of students at Patrick Henry!

Spring has sprung in our RISE room! Planting seeds is a valuable experience - it teaches what a seed needs to grow and demonstrates the life cycle of a seed. Students will practice independence as they care for the plants throughout the Spring and watch them grow!






These students have been using their Directed Studies time to squeeze in some extra practice with their instruments. This group of 6th graders have been preparing for their upcoming Orchestra Concert on May 6. We are proud of the hard work these kids have put into their music education!

The Humane Society Donations were delivered and the workers were in awe of how many items we collected! Mrs. Haugland's PRO won the Donut Reward for having the most items! Thanks to all for your donations!


The monthly Siouxland Surprise activity last week had students creating art with their fingerprints and ink! Check out their creativity! The next Siouxland Surprise is scheduled for Tuesday, April 29.








Congratulations to all of the Patrick Henry wrestlers that competed this season. This past weekend, Bentley Martin, Kellen Blaalid, Chase Wheeler, Greeley Deelstra and Ezra Kouril
placed in their respective weight classes at the Youth State Wrestling Tournament! 👏🤼♂️

March was National Reading Month - a time to celebrate the joy and importance of reading. Patrick Henry students and staff read close to 1,300 books for the “Sweet Reads” challenge and shared their favorite books, authors and genres.










The Patrick Henry performance of Cinderella brought down the house last weekend! The cast and crew created a truly magical experience and the show was unforgettable! Bravo!👏










Tomorrow, March 28, is the Panther Party and we can't wait! 🥳🥳

National Pi Day was March 14 - the day some Patrick Henry math classes celebrated the mathematical constant π - the first three and most recognized digits are 3.14. Check out Mrs. Fischer's Pi Day Party on Team 7-1.






Patrick Henry is hosting their own version of March Madness this month with a Favorite Fast Food bracket. Each week students cast their votes to see which Fast Food will move onto the next round. The Final Four picks are Culvers vs. McDonalds and Subway vs. Chick-fil-A. Mrs. Bell's student, Caleb W. has a perfect bracket so far! The winner will be announced on Monday, April 8. Who do you think will be Patrick Henry's Favorite Fast Food?

Patrick Henry boys basketball teams finished their season last week. Thank you to all the coaches who invested their time and energy into shaping our athletes and inspiring them to reach their full potential!
🏀Coach Cunningham wants the boys to recognize how much they’ve grown as individual basketball players and as a team. All players learned valuable lessons about perseverance, teamwork, and resilience.
🏀Coach Wiertzema feels his teams showed great teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the season and all players put in effort to make themselves and their teammates better!
🏀Coach Easter is proud of the 8th graders and feels this group of players is one of the best groups he has coached!
